Eid'l Adha: September 12, 2016 Declared Regular Holiday

Good news travelers! We'll have a long weekend this week as September 12, 2016 has been declared as a regular holiday in observance of Eid'l Adha.

Malacañang via Official Gazette of the Philippines the has declared September 12, Monday, a regular holiday throughout the Philippines in observance of Eid'l Adha (Feast of Sacrifice). Malacanang's Proclamation 56 emphasized that Eid'l Adha is one of the two greatest feats of Islam and that the "National Commission on Muslim Filipinos has recommended that the observance of Eid'l Adha be on 12 September."The proclamation was signed September 5 by President Rodrigo Duterte.
